历史与使命

The Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Black Student Union, and the William G. 和Rose M. Mays lectureship fund events to honor the memory and legacy of Dr. 马丁·路德·金.

King was an American clergyman, 社会学家, 积极分子, 人道主义, and leader in the Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience. King has become a national icon in the history of American progressivism.

• The first Symbolic March of the 1963 Historic March in Washington occurred in 1984 at the 英国威廉希尔中文网站.

The chair of the committee will be the Senior Diversity Officer.

The award is presented annually at the Dr. 马丁·路德·金. Annual Lectureship to a UE alumni or campus member selected by the 英国威廉希尔中文网站 Dr. 马丁·路德·金. 委员会. The purpose of the award is to recognize and affirm those who have made significant contributions in the areas of race relations, 正义, 和/或人权. The nominees have been personally or corporately involved in making tangible, 可见, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of race relations, 正义, 和/或人权事业.
